David M. Sloan is an attorney with over 30 years of both legal and business experience.  His professional career began in 1982 when he joined Bank of the Southwest in Houston, Texas.  Over the past 25 years, David has managed various business enterprises and entities and in 2002, founded Sloan & Moyer, L.L.P. a law firm specializing in representing and consulting with both privately held and public companies with a primary focus on entrepreneurial ventures. 

David’s practice is primarily transactional, including real estate transactions, private equity transactions, contract preparation and negotiation, acquisitions, mergers and the acquisition and sale of private entities. 

David received the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 1986 and the degree of Bachelor of Science (Finance) from Arizona State University in 1981.

David spent two years (1975-1977) as a military policeman and paratrooper in the U. S. Army.

David is actively involved in various community support and charitable organizations with a particular focus on FamilyPoint Resources, a West Houston non-profit helping to break the cycles of poverty and fatherlessness in a low income environment.
