Dave Sloan, father of four, is an attorney with over 25 years of combined legal and business experience.
From 1998 to present, Dave has been in private law practice and is currently with Sloan & Moyer, L.L.P. specializing in the representation of various private and public companies, banks and individuals in corporate, finance and general business matters.
From 1992 to 1998, Dave formulated and managed various investment vehicles in several areas including real estate investment and development and the acquisition and management of large pools of financial instruments. Most of Dave’s investment and management activity revolved around high risk loan portfolios, corporate restructures and real estate turn around situations.
From 1986 through 1992, Dave practiced law with two law firms in Houston, Texas. Dave practiced law for five years with the law firm of Winstead Sechrest & Minick, and one year with the law firm of Woodard Hall & Primm. Dave’s primary emphasis was representing large financial institutions and corporations in large debt restructures and workouts together with structuring and documenting various credit facilities and other contractual relationships. In addition, Dave represented a variety of operating entities and investment ventures in various commercial matters.
Dave began his professional career in 1982 when he joined Bank of the Southwest in Houston, Texas. His responsibilities with the bank included, credit analysis, commercial business and real estate lending and commercial debt restructurings and workouts.
Dave received the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 1986 and the degree of Bachelor of Science (Finance) from Arizona State University in 1981.
Dave spent two years (1975-1977) as a military policeman and paratrooper in the U. S. Army.
Dave is active with his children’s extra curricular activities, including sports, and is involved in various community support and Christian based charitable organizations and endeavors.
